About 55 University of Houston-Victoria MBA students competed in the Spring 2007 MBA Conference at the University of Houston System at Cinco Ranch in Katy on May 5.
The MBA Conference is the culmination of the MBA program. Central to the MBA Conference is the case competition, which provides MBA students with the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the MBA program to real-world business situations.
Teams participating in the competition this spring prepared original business case analyses on Dell, Inc., a leading computer systems company. The teams were evaluated on several criteria, including organization, subject knowledge, quality and use of visual aids, audience interaction, elocution, and teamwork.

MBA to compete in geography bee
Marianas Baptist Academy students are set to compete in the National Geography Bee.
The first round of the 2007 National Geography Bee will be held at the Marianas Baptist Academy School Assembly on Friday, Jan.12 at 1:45pm, 7th period.
The winner of the Marianas Baptist Academys Bee will advance to the next level of competition, a written examination to determine state competitors.
All school winners are eligible to win the national championship and its first prize, a $25,000 college scholarship, at the national competition on May 22 and 23, 2007, in Washington, D.C.
