Building on its success in developing online degree programs, Austin Peay State University will offer the Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology completely online.
The Tennessee Board of Regents recently gave approval to APSU to offer the degree online, beginning Fall 2007.
The online masters in I/O psychology will provide students knowledge of the theories and research methods used in the field and applications of those in work settings. Particular expertise can be developed in a variety of areas, including personnel selection, training and development, performance appraisal, motivation, team performance and leadership.

NU to Offer Online Masters Program in Medical Informatics
A program to train healthcare and information technicians to transfer hospital data to electronic form will be available online beginning next quarter, making it the first Northwestern masters degree offered online.
NUs Medical Informatics degree program will be offered through the School of Continuing Studies, administrators announced this month.

To meet the needs of a growing population of students who may work full time, have family responsibilities at home and need education flexibility, Davidson County Community College is offering a new online degree in business administration.
"One of the college's goals is to create more online classes," said Matt Huntanar, department chair for business and computer technology. "Online programs create more options and more flexibility."

The MBA program combines online and classroom instruction and will take 14 to 18 months to complete, according to school officials.

Enrollment in online courses through Kaplan University has surpassed 27,000 students, making it the largest university in Iowa.
