Imperial College Londons Tanaka Business School creates new scholarships for its MBA and Executive MBA programmes
With effect from March 2007, candidates wishing to enrol for the full-time and Executive MBA degrees in Tanaka Business School, Imperial College London, will be able to take advantage of a range of new scholarships. Launched with the objective of attracting top female and international candidates to the Schools programme, the scholarships are also a celebration of Imperial Colleges centenary.
The Scholarships now available are:
2 MBA Foundation Scholarships and 2 EMBA Foundation scholarships, worth £10,000 each.

COLLEGE PLANNING: Program to offer scholarships
The Penn State Smeal College of Business Executive MBA Program is offering two $25000 scholarships to members of the class of 2009 who are employees of nonprofit organizations.
To be eligible candidates must submit a 500-word essay describing how the Philadelphia-based Executive MBA Program will help further the work of their nonprofit organization or cause.
The submission deadline is March 30.

GRE and UR offer 15 MBA scholarships
The Simon Graduate School of Business at University of Rochester, in partnership with Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE), is offering scholarships to 15 managers at small-to mid-size local firms and nonprofit organizations wishing to pursue an Executive MBA degree.
The GRE Scholarships, available to applicants for the Simon Schools Executive MBA Program starting in September 2007, will provide 50 percent scholarships to qualified individuals who live and work in the greater Rochester area.

MBA students to benefit from scholarships
The Urban Land Institutes (ULI) Arizona District Council has awarded scholarships to two W. P. Carey School of Business graduate students in the schools full-time MBA real estate specialization program. The two $2,000 awards are part of a new ULI real estate scholarship program for students at the W. P. Carey School and at ASUs College of Design.
This is the first year that ULI Arizona has awarded scholarships, according to Steve Gervais, chair of the ULI Arizona Scholarship Committee. Gervais said the institute created the scholarships to encourage top academic performers to pursue careers
Man behind scholarships says university broke promise to veterans
The University of Illinois last year offered up to 110 scholarships to veterans and members of the military interested in a masters of business administration degree. Each is worth $74,000.
THE DISAGREEMENT: Robert Van Der Hooning, who set up the program, says it was intended for the schools Chicago-based executive MBA program, with all scholarships available in 2006. The university says the scholarships were for any of the schools three MBA programs and werent intended to be awarded in a single year.
