The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is expected to set up an off-campus institute in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, offering management training for working executives. The courses are slated to begin from the next academic session. IIM-As off-campus location will initially be in temporary premises leased from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) at Nerul. The first batch of Agri Business Management students at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) have cause to celebrate as the first day of placements here on Monday yielded a fair bounty of job offers. Seven companies made 37 offers on the first day of which 19 offers were actually accepted. The average annual salary of offer works out to Rs.3.6 lakh. The ABM batch of 2001 comprises of 29 students, 40 per cent of whom have work experience of six months or more.
