Erroneous Waitlist E-mails Accidentally Sent to Hundreds of MBA Applicants
On March 8, an employee in the McDonough School of Businesss MBA admissions office accidentally sent an e-mail to all full-time MBA applicants informing them that they had been waitlisted.
Over 300 of the hundreds of applicants who received the erroneous e-mail had already received an admissions decision. Of those, 256 had been accepted and 68 were rejected.
Within three hours of the original e-mail, the university sent another e-mail to the applicants to inform them of the error.

Even as admission chairpersons of all the six Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) plan to meet by next week to discuss reported anomalies in the common admission test (CAT)-2006 question paper, the dissatisfied lot of examinees have taken to streets.
On Sunday, a group of candidates who had appeared in CAT-2006 staged a candlelight march in the state capital.
The "dissatisfied"group of candidates brandished black bands on their arms and urged the aspirants of Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) who had appeared for the examination on Sunday to join them in the protest.

PUNE/KOLKATA: Last year's Common Admission Test (CAT) question paper leak scam led to the cancellation of the entrance test to the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
This year, CAT aspirants got a rude shock after discovering serious errors in the IIM-published CAT 2004 bulletin-cum-application form.
Students applying for CAT, scheduled for November 21, have discovered several pages missing/repeated in the bulletin. The crucial bar code with the application form number was found to be disfigured/smudged in a few cases.
Students have paid Rs 1,100 for the document (SC/ST candidates pay Rs 550). The last date for filing applications is September 10.
