MBA seeks owner-builders laws review Tasmanias Master Builders Association (MBA) wants the State Government to urgently consider new figures on owner-builders. The MBA has found 20 per cent of all building over the past 12 months - since the introduction of the Building Act - has been carried out by owner-builders. The MBA says Tasmania has the highest level of owner-builders in Australia and it wants the provisions of the act re-assessed.
