University to offer Arabic MBA course
University in Edinburgh has become the first in Europe to offer an MBA in Arabic.
Arab students will be able to sign up to study at a distance for the business courses in their own language.
The Edinburgh Business School announced the project at a reception in Cairo on Saturday.
It is hoped the course will improve links between the university and the Arab business world.
A university spokeswoman said: The Arabic MBA will raise the profile of Heriot-Watt University and the Edinburgh Business School among businesses in the Arabic-speaking world and will create a strong network of graduates in the region.

Kaplan U. to offer new MBA
Kaplan University, the Fort Lauderdale-based online higher-learning institution, is teaming up with Newsweek to offer a masters of business administration.
The Kaplan University/Newsweek MBA will use breaking business news to illuminate issues and theories used in traditional MBA course work. Students will be able to talk with the magazines reporters and editors to get insights on news events.

Cognos and U of O to partner to offer MBA course
Cognos and the University of Ottawa School of Management are partnering to offer a graduate-level course in performance management, with the software company committing more than $1 million in funding and products to the university.
Cognos announced today that it is providing students in the universitys MBA program with access to a full suite of its performance management software and helping the university start a research cluster on the subject, said Cognoss vice-president of performance management Robin McNeill.

The University of Alabama announced plans to offer an executive MBA degree in Huntsville starting in July 2008.
The degree will be offered through a cooperative agreement with the University of Alabama in Huntsville on the Huntsville campus, the school said Monday.
