Thunderbird redesigns MBA program

Garvin School of International Management launches shorter, more intense programs

Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management, is launching a redesigned Executive MBA program format in response to market demand for shorter, more intense programs that are even more global in scope.

Beginning this fall, Thunderbird will align its Executive MBA program in the U.S. with its companion program in Europe and shorten the program from 21 months to 16 months in duration. The new Executive MBA program in the U.S. will now combine the traditional weekend classes in Phoenix with four weeklong modules that will be delivered in the U.S., Europe and China.

The program will incorporate two courses in a Web-based format, which will create an opportunity for EMBA students on two continents to work together in virtual teams. The new program also offers the option for students who already speak two languages, including English, to waive the schools second-language requirement.
