An advanced business degree can enhance success, but is not essential, according to the latest Business Pulse Survey results.
In the Tampa Bay Business Journals weekly, non-scientific online poll, 64 percent, or 218 of the 340 readers responding said an MBA is helpful but not critical to business success. Another 22 percent, or 75 votes went to the other extreme, suggesting that the diploma wasnt necessary. Just 13 percent, or 47 votes cast, said an MBA is a critical advantage.
The poll, designed to provide a snapshot to what readers are thinking, elicited numerous thought provoking comments.

You have to think how to solve even the most critical problems and how to come out of even the worst situations. It is basically this approach which distinguishes the successful people from others. Unlike the latter, people with positive approach never start counting the difficulties, the hurdles and the problems they may face in taking up a particular task. Thats the way the successful people think. One must endeavour to take risks, at least calculated risks. To-be-or-not-to-be

The economy seems likely to at least post some improvement. A recent Bond Market Association survey found economists, on average, think gross domestic product will grow at a 3.4 percent annual rate in 2003, compared with estimated growth of 2.8 percent in 2002. GDP is the broadest measure of the nation's economy.
But the true shape of Econ 2003 will depend on the answers to some other critical questions. While this list is by no means exhaustive, and surprises almost certainly will pop up and alter the equation, the following questions are most often raised by economists when thinking about 2003.
When we talk of marketing we generally think in terms of selling our products to as many customers as possible at profitable rates. But we often ignore what marketing implies in real terms. Marketing, in fact means giving something to someone to satisfy his needs or wants and in turn get ours satisfied. From this theoretical aspect of marketing we can learn how to do business by marketing goods and services. We must keep in mind that each one of us has innumerable wants, involving different levels of preferences which we want to fulfil. To elaborate, we can say, we
