Kozhikode, JAN. 21st An action plan for bamboo Wayanad district was approved by the
Thrikkaipetta-based non-governmental organization Uravu.
The project with an outlay of Rs 6 crores, in coordination with the Centre of Excellence, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, Uravu President, T. Sivarajan said.
The plan assumes significance in the context of proposals for the use of bamboo resources of the state at a meeting of the Kerala Bamboo Mission under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, recently in Thiruvananthapuram.
