What is your destination or where you want to go, is the question. When you decide to visit a place in your own city or outside, you make all necessary preparations like buying a ticket, putting together your personal belongings, etc. Then you ascertain the train, bus or plane, its departure timings. You try to reach there in time and finally be at your destination. Thus, it is only when you fix up a target that you come into action, which begins with planning, and then execution of the planned activity. All successful
people have very well realised this fact and they proceed accordingly. They set one target, do their best to achieve it and then set higher and more challenging goals and keep on rising on the ladder of success.
Daily we come across men and women engaged in different types of business activities at varying levels. Some of them people might be in the same business for the last several years yet they have not progressed. On the other hand, a few of them have acquired riches by expanding and diversifying their business activities which yield better and quicker returns. While those belonging to the first category are mostly the people who have failed to plan, set targets and to act for the realisation of their goals The latter knew the importance of target setting, planning and worked with a zeal to reach their goal.
There are numerous advantages of target setting. First of all it is an important exercise which helps you to see things clearly. You actually come to know what you are doing, what are the shortcomings in your system, what you can what you cannot do, what you can achieve and how. Determining your target compels you to fix a time schedule to achieve your goals and also to decide your methodology and strategy. In normal day-to-day life we lose a lot because we remain so immersed in our usual routine work that we never care to stop and decide about our future. We tend to become lazy.
As we climb up the stairs one by one, so do we rise on the ladder of success through goal setting and achieving success. Doing things without any time schedule or target is bound to be marked with uncertainty. You will never know when a job will be accomplished. Setting targets is a sure way of first telling yourself clearly what you have to do in what time span. Having accomplished one target you have to set a fresh one and thus ensure steady growth and expansion of your business.

On Friday afternoon at 4 PM, students and faculty received an Awareness Bulletin describing an e-mail including bomb threats which Public Safety and the Swarthmore Police Department believe to be false.
Colleges around the country have been receiving similar messages in the past week, including Carnegie Mellon, Princeton, and MIT. Carnegie Mellon evacuated its science building and was searched by bomb-sniffing dogs, which turned up nothing. The FBI is currently investigating the threats, believed to be a large-scale hoax.
We’ll have more information about the Swarthmore situation for you by Monday.

Plan what you want to achieve. At intervals gauge the level of your achievement as compared to what you had planned. Then you take remedial measures to increase your target or to correct deviations from the plan. Control not only puts right your plan of action, but it also helps in getting things done better on the basis of the information received.

Consumers Pull the Economic Reins
With consumers finally beginning to pull back, sales growth is slowing.
Meanwhile, input costs -- from wages and health benefits to energy and raw materials -- are rising much faster than before.
You dont have to have an MBA to see that what we have developing here is an old-fashioned profit squeeze, with serious implications for share prices, corporate investment and the careers of certain chief executives.

Then, there are integrity issues, such as whether a higher rank would lead to more advertising for the publication from such B-schools.
There is no denying the commercial aspect of such surveys, in the sense that such special survey issues are marketed to potential advertisers and, because they often tend to be best-selling issues, there is
