Confidence and Hope

Having initiated a commercial venture aimed at yielding profits, you genuinely expect quick and adequate returns but things may not always turn up the way we think. It takes time to reap the fruits of your labour. Results may fall short of your expectations. It could be because of a wrong choice of place, product, or technology, lack of experience, lack of funds, etc. But in case there is nothing radically wrong with all these and you strongly feel that you are perfectly on the right track then you must not look back. Never let disappointment come to your mind even for a moment. Having faith in your work, you should be confidence and hopeful of your success.

Confidence in your success is really the single most powerful tool that can bring hope to you, a hope based upon solid practical work being done by you and not merely day dreaming or wishful thinking. Confidence and hope are in fact the breathing force without which survival of commercial activity is very difficult. With confidence and hope it is possible to keep the showing going on even in utmost adverse circumstances. Without these there would be slow down of activities leading to ultimate shut down.

Disappointment is very likely to creep in initially when success is not in sight even after putting best of your efforts and doing your every bit. More so in the beginning and that too in cases where business is started with very limited resources

But that certainly does not mean giving up your hope and finally winding up what you are doing and to sit desperately or even change your direction suddenly. Barring diversification and taking up of new profit-oriented businesses this change of direction in business may cost you a lot in terms of money and time. It has been the experience of many a businessman that change in the line of business, unless it is a very calculated risk, is not desirable. Instead what is needed is perseverance, analysis of what is lacking, where and how to correct it so as to make your business profitable. Unless you realise that you had made a wrong choice and there is something radically wrong with the business, you must not feel disappointed but rather continue with full confidence and hope. Handled meticulously, and with perseverance it will bring the desired results.

Keeping hope alive against all odds and even amidst disappointing circumstances is certainly the best way. This attitude would keep your wheels moving. On the other hand, by giving up hope, you would only lose your chances for improvement. Hoping for the best and to be prepared for the worst is a better solution, indeed! Hope and courage keep you enthusiastic and excited to do your job.
