Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar plans to establish a centre in partnership with Government of Orissa at an investment of Rs15 crore, to be funded by either Department for International Development or World Bank.
Aiming to catalyse rapid development of the state, the centre is expected to provide project management support for implementation of projects in time and without cost overruns. The services from the centre will include IT- enabled services, performance tracking systems, strategic inputs on fiscal and administrative reforms and transparent interface with citizens.
Only 50% of British businesses undertake talent management activities, despite a majority recognising that it has an impact on their bottom line, according to research launched by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) at a series of conferences held in London.
The research found that 38% of companies have a formal talent management strategy and the same percentage have a formal definition of talent management.
