UNM hosts MBA program open house in Rio Rancho
An upcoming open house hosted by the University of New Mexico will focus on its Westside MBA Program. UNM’s Anderson Schools of Management will be holding free information sessions on May 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for prospective students interested in the Executive MBA (EMBA) and the new Professional MBA (PMBA) programs. This session will be the second in a series, following a free information session in Albuquerque earlier this month.
The 30-year-old executive MBA, or master’s in business administration degree, is a 24-month, on-campus weekend program for MBA candidates with at least three years of meaningful work experience. The program is held once each year, with the orientation weekend beginning June 23, 2006.
The new Professional MBA, which will be offering its inaugural PMBA class on-site at Intel Corp. (NYSE: INTC) starting Sept, 8, offers off-campus, evening programs over a 28-month period for those with at least one full year of significant work experience.

Lamar hosts MBA College of Business Open House May 1
Lamar Universitys College of Business will sponsor its first masters in business administration Open House May 1 at the Galloway Business Building in Landes Auditorium.

Rowan to host MBA open house
Rowan University will host a Master of Business Administration Open House and Information Session at 2 p.m. on Sunday in Bunce Hall, room 107.
The Rowan University William G. Rohrer College of Business MBA Program provides a graduate education designed for the working professional.
Applications for admission to the program are accepted for fall and spring semesters on a rolling basis. Attendees will be able to meet the dean, the MBA director, faculty and MBA students who will be present to answer questions.

Kendall College designs innovative MBA courses
A new MBA program in Grand Rapids incorporate the kinds of design sensibility that drive business innovation, planners say.
Kendall College of Art and Design now hosts four courses open to masters of business administration students at Ferris State University, its Big Rapids-based institutional parent.
The point is to look at the ways the strategic thinking, the methodology in design that plays a key role in innovation, helping companies develop new products and new ways of doing things, Kendall President Oliver Evans explained.

Prospective students interested in the University of New Mexico's Anderson Schools of Management's executive or professional MBA programs will be treated to a free information session about the respective programs Tuesday, April 9. Serious candidates also are invited to attend a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) prep workshop April 16.

Drinks giant InBev is to become the first-ever company to create a bespoke MBA course for its in-house lawyers.
The company is in the process of selecting a business school to offer a full MBA course to its lawyers. Western Europe and corporate general counsel Deepak Malhotra is spearheading the initiative.
The course will initially only be open to selected members of Malhotra’s global corporate and 65-strong western European team, but is expected to be rolled out to the drinks giant’s other legal teams.

House backs bill mediating MBA fight
The House of Delegates approved a bill last night designed to resolve through mediation a bitter two-year dispute over a new MBA program at Towson University.
The vote was 109-28, with two delegates abstaining.
A more litigious approach to the conflict was endorsed by the Senate last month, raising the possibility of a showdown on a racially charged issue between the two legislative chambers before the session ends Monday night.

He Business School at the Open University (OU), based in Britain, is providing only distance learning MBA courses for already working graduated managers, to improve their management and business skills.
