MBA in your pocket
This year, more than one lakh professionals of all ages will embark on MBA programmes at business schools across the world. A growing proportion will elect to study, not in their home country, but overseas.
In India, despite the development of major schools, the tradition of studying abroad, particularly in the US or Europe, is widely accepted.
But, if you are considering a move overseas, how do you decide which of these locations will suit you best? With its reputation as the home of management education (the MBA was invented at the Tuck School in New Hampshire well over a century ago), the US has long been a major draw for Indian students.
However, its attraction has been undermined since 2001 due to the tightening of immigration regulations.

UNM students pocket $25,000 in University-wide Technology Business Plan Competition
After months of sweating the details and false starts – and despite the heavy load of classes associated with being full-time students, 17 teams presented plans at the University of New Mexico’s first Technology Business Plan Competition held recently.
A who’s who of New Mexico venture capitalists, including VSpring’s Paul Ahlstrom, Verge’s Ray Rasosevich, and New Mexico Community Capital’s Jarratt Applewhite, whittled the group of 17 down to six finalist teams and then awarded first, second and third place prizes worth more than $40,000 to the top three teams.

Medicare Part D confounds me. I have an MBA and spent years managing finances for several companies. Ive made many complex financial decisions. None, however, as complex as the Medicare Part D decision.
