A survey of 759 graduating MBAs from 11 top U.S. business schools revealed that a company’s corporate social responsibility performance is a major factor when they select whom to work for, reports BusinessGreen.
The graduates expect to make an annual salary of $103,650 from their first employer, but 97 percent said they would be willing to sacrifice up to $15,000 to work for a company with an exemplary environmental performance, ethical business conduct and good employee and stakeholder relations.
The survey was conducted by David Montgomery of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Catherine Ramus of the University of California
The biggest secret of success lies in your attitude toward your work. To be successful you need to have a positive attitude. You have to think how to solve even the most critical problems and how to come out of even the worst situations. It is basically this approach which distinguishes the successful people from others. Mumbai, March 7: THE Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), has finally taken decisive action against an employee accused of abusing children of staffers and faculty members living in the institute's campus in Deonar. The employee, who had earlier been asked to go on long leave'''', will be quitting the institute following a proposal for voluntary retirement, which has been''''accepted by the institute.
Director of TISS Profiles RR Singh confirmed that action had been taken against the employee, a senior staffer in the office of the Registrar. ''He had been asked to go on long leave, which he has already done.
Marriott was named the top hotel chain in a customer satisfaction survey by the University of Michigans Ross School of Business. The American Customer Satisfaction Index measures customer satisfaction with the quality of products and services in a variety of categories, including hotels, airlines, energy utilities, express delivery, U.S. Postal Service, hospitals, fast food restaurants, cable and satellite television, and telecommunications services.
Marriott hotels scored a 79 out of 100. The survey compared four of the largest hotel chains and Marriott hotels were two points higher than their nearest competitor. This was the companys best score in the survey, which has
