Anderson Schools to Offer GMAT Prep Course in March
The Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico will conduct a six-week GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) preparation program this spring. The program, which runs March 24-May 12, is designed to teach participants the math and verbal skills theyll need to be successful on the exam.
Anderson isnt the only school that requires the GMAT – top-tier business schools across the country include the test in their admission decisions.
The GMAT is only one of a handful of criteria we look at, including undergraduate GPA, work experience, and letters of recommendation, said Loyola Chastain, Andersons Graduate Programs manager.

Workshop for students planning to take the GMAT
The Graduate and Executive Programs of the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics is sponsoring a GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) practice test and strategy workshop beginning at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, in 125 Lerner Hall.
Students will take a GMAT practice test to diagnose skills from 5:30-8 p.m., break for dinner and then participate in the workshop for the remainder of the evening. The program will be presented by Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions.
Cost is $20, payable by check to University of Delaware, and includes dinner and materials.

UNM offers free MBA information sessions
Prospective students interested in the University of New Mexico's Anderson Schools of Management's executive or professional MBA programs will be treated to a free information session about the respective programs Tuesday, April 9. Serious candidates also are invited to attend a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) prep workshop April 16.
The 30-year-old executive MBA (master's in business administration) program is an intensive 24-month, on-campus, weekend curriculum that caters to students with at least three years work experience. Orientation for this year's program is scheduled for June 23 and 24.

Free Practice Tests on Campus Feb. 17
