Vt. college first to offer sustainable M.B.A.
Green Mountain College has launched what is believed to be the first graduate online program of its kind in the world.
The online Master of Business Administration in sustainable business concentrates on ethical business practices and environmental stewardship, said Dr. William Prado, program director at the Poultney college.
Prado said theres been a focus of late on sustainable business practices in the aftermath of a number of corporate scandals.
Theres been increased interest in all issues having to do with ethical business practices and taking responsibility, firms being responsible for consequences, and lot of that goes back to Enron, Adelphia and so forth, Prado said.

Davangere, Karnataka, Sep 12 : Bangalore-based Gupta College of Management and Technology would offer post graduate and doctoral degrees in Business Management
Announcing the tie up Gupta College of management and technology Director Indira Gupta told media persons here today that the college would run the Doctor of Business Administration, Executive MBA and regular MBA programmes offered by the IAU.
She said that the degrees offered by the IAU were accepted world wide and it was the first US university to offer doctor of business administration in India.

US based Mercy College to offer one year MBA through its India campus in Mumbai
US-based Mercy College is planning to start its one-year MBA programme in India from the next academic session.
The college will offer its MBA courses through its India campus in Mumbai. The college has tied up with Morningside School of Management to offer a 12-week (18 credits) of the executive-style first year curriculum in the Indian campus.
With successful completion of the 12 week of study in India, the students will be granted advanced placement in Mercys MBA programme

The Penn State Smeal College of Business Executive MBA Program is offering two $25000 scholarships to members of the class of 2009 who are employees of nonprofit organizations.
To be eligible candidates must submit a 500-word essay describing how the Philadelphia-based Executive MBA Program will help further the work of their nonprofit organization or cause.
